3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Basic Use: Super-Trete 110-VOC Cure & Seal is an ASTM
Type 1 class B or Type I-D class B curing compound for use on fresh concrete. It is also a
sealer for use on cured concrete...floors, panels, walls, columns, precast or prestressed.
Use it to protect architectural concrete such as exposed aggregate, hard landscape
products, ornamental objects, etc. As a curing compound it:
As a sealer it helps:
Limitations: Do not apply over puddles on the surface of the concrete. Do not use if temperature drops below 50° F. Protect from freezing.
Ground Shipping in the USA: Containers holding 275 gallons or 55 gallons or 5 gallons or less (regardless of quantity) are not federally regulated and shipping product in the Cresset package does not require following hazardous shipping requirements.
Applicable Standards: Exceeds ASTM C-309-89 for water retention at the rate of 200 square feet per gallon. Exceeds California SCAQMD VOC rule 1113-90. ASTM C-309 officially replaces canceled Federal Specification TT-C-800A.
VOC means "Volatile Organic Compounds". For curing and sealing
materials California requires a VOC of 350 grams per liter or less. (The smaller the
number, the safer you are.) Super-Trete 110-VOC Cure & Seal has 130 grams per liter of
VOCs, which greatly exceeds these stringent regulations.

5. APPLICATION
As a curing compound (on fresh concrete): Apply to fresh
concrete after all the free water has disappeared and concrete has taken an initial set.
(OBTAIN YOUR BEST CURE BY APPLYING SUPER-TRETE 110-VOC WHILE THE CONCRETE IS STILL
MOIST...BUT PUDDLES ARE NOT PRESENT.) Spray, roll or brush Super-Trete 110-VOC Cure &
Seal onto the concrete surface uniformly at a rate of 200 square feet per gallon.
As a sealer (on hardened concrete): Prepare hardened concrete by removing any dirt, oil and other soils from the surface. MOISTEN DRY CONCRETE WITH WATER (no standing puddles, however). Apply at a rate of 200 to 400 square feet per gallon.
Notes to Specifier: 1. Moisten concrete with water before applying. Dry concrete absorbs water from the "wet" Cure & Seal hindering proper film formation. Using Super-Trete on dry concrete may result in a film with a white, flaky or dusty appearance as well as poor adhesion to the concretes surface.
2. Hot, windy conditions may cause "checking" of the acrylic film. Windy, drying conditions may prematurely harden the very top surface, trapping other ingredients underneath. Proper hardening allows for slow removal of all materials throughout the films thickness.
3. Avoid extra thick applications. Apply several thin coats rather than
one thick coat. On thick coats the surface may harden first, trapping other materials in
the film. This results in a white appearance. Frequently, the white disappears in a few
weeks.
